What Goes In the Cart?

In an effort to recycle our trash and make sure we get the right waste to the right place, Valley Vista Services uses a three can system for residential trash services. Sometimes knowing what waste can go into what can may seem a bit confusing so we have provided a list below to help guide you. Note that some items, such as Bamboo, Ivy, and Palm Fronds which can cause damage to processing equipment, are not listed under Green Waste but under trash instead.

Household Hazardous Waste should never be placed in Valley Vista Services Trash, Recycling, or Green Waste Carts
for example but not limited to:

Antifreeze
Abrasive Cleaners
Batteries
Fluorescent tubes or bulbs
Motor Oil

Paint
Pesticides
Prescription Drugs
Sharps/Syringes/Lancets
Transmission Fluid

Contaminated Carts will be tagged and not serviced.
