Valley Vista Services is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Specialist to support the Human Resources team. This full-time position will assist in day-to-day HR functions, focusing on recruitment support, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance. The HR Specialist will serve as a key resource for employees and play an essential role in maintaining HR processes and records.RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Onboarding:- Assist in posting job openings and screening resumes.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and communicate with candidates.
- Prepare new hire paperwork and assist in onboarding processes.
- Ensure new hire files are complete and accurate.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and general inquiries.
- Work closely with payroll to ensure accurate processing of employee data.
- Process employee changes, including promotions, terminations, and benefit updates.
- Support leave of absence processes, including FMLA and CFRA documentation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 1-2 years of HR experience or administrative support in an HR environment.
- Basic knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS systems (experience with UKG, KRONOS, or Workday is a plus).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the work day
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 25 pounds rarely
- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely
- Normal setting for this job: office setting
- Willingness to travel within a 25-mile radius to other company sites as needed.
